Therapy
My Core approach as a counsellor is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT.
CBT Therapy can help us explore our thoughts and feelings which are key to how we cope and react in situations, especially difficult circumstances within our life.
With the support from me, and the time to work at your own pace, I can help you explore and work through whatever you’re struggling with, and help you to develop new solution focused coping strategies to help you move forward positively, and live the life you want.
I can help with:
-Address unhealthy expectations of yourself that are causing you anxiety and stress in your life, or which are holding you back from achieving what you want.
-To explore unhelpful thoughts, overthinking and beliefs about ourselves that are keeping you stuck.
-To learn to normalise or change difficult emotions/feelings.
-Learn to tackle feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, inferiority, incompetency and self defeating beliefs about yourself,
-Learn to challenge self criticism or criticism from others, and adopt more self compassion, love, respect and acceptance for yourself.
-Address unhealthy relationships.
-Anxiety disorders such as OCD or health anxiety.
-Create goals to work towards, and to implement a strategy to help you work towards your goals in manageable, achievable steps. with the aim of making real positive changes in your life.
